An incorrect fake video is shown in a web site the manner Rizana was executed

It is reliably reported that Rifana Rafeek had been executed by chopping her neck and her remains had been buried in Saudi Arabia itself according to their laws. Although the Sri Lanka Government had made several pleas to bring down to Sri Lanka the remains of her body, it had not been successful according to the ‘sharya’ law it was reported. In the meantime sympathises in several parts of the country are discussing how they could help Rizana’s family at the time of their grief to give them some sort of redress. It is reported that with the initiative of the Mayor, Mahinda Ratwatte ,of the Kandy Municipal Council with the assistance of the Lions Club of Kandy’s Dumbara Project Director Raja Pushpakumara with the help of other Lions clubs and community organises are to put up for Rizana’s family in Muttur in the Trincomale district.
After hearing the execution of Rizana thousands of people in Muttur and surrounding areas had thronged to Rizana’s house to sympathise with the family members and to offer condolences. Anyone who visited the house would reveal that it was just a small shed in which they had lived. The people in the entire Muttur area were drowned in tears following their deep sorrow. The father of Rizana had been hospitalised for a viral fewer. Her only brother Riskan revealed this.
“When my sister went to Saudi Arabia I was very small. I cannot recollect her. The sister had decided to go abroad to earn money and send home as she could not bear her father suffering to keep the home fires burning. He never knew in his wildest of dreams that such a situation would arise for her to meet this fate. At least he wanted to see her dead body”.
In the meantime on the instructions of the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Karunatillake Amunugama the Ambassador of Sri Lanka in Saudi Arabia Ahamad A Jawad had been asked to return back temporarily. There were several requests and pleas and requests by the Sri Lankan Government and several foreign organisations to offer her pardon and redress.

They were not given any consideration and hearing by the Saudi Arabia Authorities headed by their King. This does not mean that our cordial relationships with the Saudi Arabic country would seize to exist. But it will remain the same as before. The diplomatic relationship would continue and exist as before.

It is learnt that a certain website had shown how an Indonesian National housemaid had been executed. They have made it a fake one by inserting the name of Rizana Rafeek instead and it is now shown in the particular web site. In the Arabic language it is stated like قطع رأس خادمة أندونيسية بمكة In English it is read as “An Indonesian maid had been beheaded in Mecca”. In this context one could believe that Rizana Rafeek too would have been executed in the same manner.
