The son of famous Gem Merchant, the Director of Vinil Gems,Ratnapura, Dinesh Chathuranga’s wedding ceremony took place the other day in a very grand manner at the Cinnamon Grand Lakeside hotel in Colombo. The bride who got married to him was Hansi Alawathuwela who is the daughter Chandana Alawathuwela a Member of Kurunegala District Provincial Council. Dinesh assists his father Vinil in his business activities.
The wedding was attended by the President, the Opposition leader and a host of other VIP’s. Vinil in addition to this son has a daughter while his younger son met with a tragic motor accident and died a few months back.
